OC Plovdiv received the flag of the 2025 European Rowing Championship

On the final day of the European Rowing Championships, held this year in Szeged, Hungary, the host city handed over the flag to Plovdiv. The 2025 the European Rowing Championshipswill take place in Plovdiv from May 29th to June 1st. The Organizing Committee of the 2023 World Rowing U23 Championships received a special "ECO Star" award for the environmentally friendly manner in which the Championships were conducted. Plovdiv has been awarded the 2026 World Rowing U19 Championships at the governing body's Congress. The 2022 World Rowing Congress took place in Prague, following the World Championships in Račice, with delegates from 39 National Federations attending in-person while 31 registered to take part remotely.
